Sintown

"Sintown" was a common nickname for old Bridgeport, a place where the pious residents of Berlin (now Kitchener) would escape to indulge in a variety of vices at the casino, racetrack, and bars. Bridgeport was also a hub for organized criminal gangs and miscellaneous thugs, addicts and prostitution. This tune is a reserved shuffle that evokes the dark and moody side of the town; and you can imagine a time past when it would have been unsurprising to encounter a shady character in a flashy zoot suit, on your way to watch the strippers. Featuring flugelhorn solo by Rob Gellner.
