As the title suggests, this is the theme for those times when Frank's battles were lost and hope dashed; his struggles for acceptance, the challenges of his childhood, the polar opposite forces of appreciation and ridicule by his community, his personal losses, the end of his lifelong duty as crossing guard, and ultimately his passing.
